Is knowledge of English necessary?

Yes. As an international company headquartered in Germany, English is important when doing business beyond our borders. We work to enhance our employees’ language skills and offer language courses in our training programs.

Which other languages are important at OBI?

As a company heavily involved in eastern Europe, knowledge of languages such as Russian, Polish or Czech is advantageous if you plan to work abroad. Except for certain positions—which are specified as such—these languages are not a prerequisite for working at OBI.
