Can I apply directly for a position abroad as a university graduate?

We do not offer international positions immediately to university graduates. At OBI, certain requirements must be fulfilled before you are awarded an international position. Yet if you apply to work for OBI in Germany, an international position may not be far away. Learn more about international careers

Are there trainee programs?

We do offer university graduates the opportunity to join OBI via traineeships based on our current requirements. For the final selection of trainees, we have established an Assessment Center. We place special emphasis on trainees familiarizing themselves with a variety of positions at the OBI marts, and being able to meet the challenges of many different situations. The traineeship lasts for 12 months and is adapted to the individual trainee within a general educational framework. The goal of the Sales traineeship is to build trainees’ skills to the point where they can assume deputy managerial duties at a mart, and to continue to develop their competencies going forward, to the point where they do in fact become mart managers.
